Card Instructions: (refer to the photos for guidance)
- The patterns included with this instruction sheet are printed to size and in reverse. Click to download. Print them on the back of the appropriate papers and cardstock, as indicated on the patterns and listed below, then cut them out using a craft knife and/or a very fine-pointed scissors.
Alternatively, you can print them on plain paper, cut them apart, and tape them securely to the back of the appropriate papers before you cut them out:
- Word mats and curved stripe for globe base on red patterned paper.
- Holly leaves and snow globe base on green patterned paper.
- Snow globe with rectangular border, postage stamp, and snowflakes on white cardstock.
- Cut a rectangle of green patterned paper slightly larger than the white globe mat, about 4-3/4 x6-3/4".
Trim the white mat and green paper, if needed, to fit your card blank, as shown in the photo above.
- Turn the white mat over to the plain back, and run a line of Tape'n Glue around the open globe area. Also, run a line of Tape'n Glue around the outside edge of the transparency. Turn the transparency with the tape side down, centered over the globe opening, and press in place firmly with your hand. Run another line of Tape'n Glue on the transparency completely around the outside of the globe opening; make sure you have absolutely no gaps in the tape line.
- Carefully place small amount of white glitter and snowflake confetti in the center of the transparency. (See photo below.) Don't get glitter or confetti in the tape line or your seal may leak.
- Center your photo over the mat opening (face down on the glitter). Press into place with your hand to seal all the edges; turn right side up and press again. Trim away any excess photo paper.
- Attach red photo corners to the finished globe mat; adhere to the center of the green patterned paper so a thin mat of green paper shows around the white. Tape'n Glue to front of card.
- Using a pencil first, sketch in the words "Winter" and "Wonderland" to the centers of your red word mats (see photo above). Also embellish your card front with swirls, lines, and dots (as on finished card photo). Draw accent lines on the snow globe base also. When you are happy with your pencil lines, go over all of them with a Pentel Outline Marker (see photo above.) The Outline Marker makes a silver line with an outline of color around it all in one stroke; a perfect accent!
- Attach the last snowflake, red and green snow globe base, and word mats using foam tape, if desired, to add dimension. Embellish with the rhinestone star near the snowflakes at the top of the snow globe.
- Add a greeting inside with the Outline Marker, sign your name, and you are finished with the card.
Envelope Instructions: ((Note that this envelope is designed to be hand delivered to the recipient. If you plan on mailing it, only use Outline Marker embellishments on the envelope and substitute a genuine stamp; ask the post office to hand cancel it, so the dimensional embellishments inside aren't damaged.)

- For the faux postage stamp (see photo above), use Tape'n Glue to mat the white stamp shape to a green patterned paper rectangle that's cut slightly larger. Then add the stamp's center, cut from red patterned paper slightly smaller than the white stamp shape.
- Rubber stamp or hand letter "6 cents" or other denomination on your faux postage stamp.
- Accent with faux stitch lines on the red mat -- a dashed line made with your Pentel Outline Marker.
- Add the white snowflake cut-out and snowflake confetti to the stamp with small pieces of foam tape.
- Attach the layered stamp to your envelope using foam tape .
- For the holly in the upper left corner of the envelope, use Tape'n Glue to attach the green paper leaf shapes. Draw in swirls, lines and dots using a pencil first, then retrace them using your
Pentel Outline Marker. (See photo below.) Attach 3 red sequins for the holly berries using foam tape pieces.
