Beautiful Day Photo Mat

Materials
-
Pre-cut white mat (8x10" for 5x7" photo)

Pentel® Color Brush&trade ink-filled brush pens (assorted colors)
-
Pentel® Permanent Black Marker
-
Pentel® Mechanical Pencil
-
Graphite transfer paper
-
Painter's tape or drafting tape

Scissors

Instructions

Click to print out the "Beautiful Day" design above. Trim paper on outside of design, 8x10".

Place 8x10" transfer paper (dark side down) on front of mat. Lay design face up over transfer paper; tape to hold while you trace. Transfer design to mat by
tracing over all lines of design with pencil, using medium pressure. Remove design and transfer papers from mat and discard.

Using permanent black marker, go over design on mat to widen and darken lines. When finished, use clean white eraser and remove any graphite marks.

Using the Pentel Color Brush pens, paint design using the color picture as a guide. Tip: to achieve shaded colors, paint around the outside of the shape with the ink at full
strength, then dip brush tip in clean water to dilute and paint inside the shape, blending the shades together. Let dry.

Tape your favorite photo to the back of the mat, frame, and enjoy!
