Tabletop Christmas Trees

tabletop christmas trees Items Needed
  • Card stock
  • Clay pot (optional)
  • Buttons
  • Pentel Arts Tape'n Glue
  • Pentel Arts Metallic Brush Pens
  • Pentel Arts Color Brush

    1. Use an 8.5" x 11" piece of white card stock and roll it into a "cone" shape (cut a different piece of paper into a smaller size to create the smaller cones).

    2. Use Pentel Arts Tape'n Glue to hold the paper together on the inside of the cone.

    3. Use green and light green Pentel Arts Metallic Brush Pens to color the cones. Start with the light green and create long, sweeping strokes, covering most of the cone. Next use the Green Pentel Arts Metallic Brush Pen to create darker brush strokes. This will help give the trees an appearance of depth.

  • 4. Add ornaments by gluing different colored buttons or paper circle cut outs. You can create a tree base by using an old pot or by simply cutting out a band of card stock (8.5" x 2") and curving it into a circle, then taping it together. Color the tree base with Pentel Arts Bronze Metallic Brush Pen and Sepia Color Brush (the two products together create a textured or "vintage" look).

    5. You can secure the top of the tree to the base by simply adding a dab of glue to the rim of the bottom of the tree top and placing it carefully onto the base to try.
