Materials
- Rectangular Vase (3" x 4" x 6")
- 4 Basswood Strips (1/4" x 1/2" x 24")
- 2 Basswood Strips (1/8" x 1/8" x 24")
- 2 Translucent Printing Paper (8 1/2" x 11")
- Small Candle
- Pentel Pocket Brush Pen
- Pentel Wet Erase Marker (black)
- Pentel Color Brush ink-filled brush pen
- Pentel Mechanical Pencil
- Pentel Tape 'n Glue adhesive runner
- Small Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
- X-acto Knife
- Ruler
- Paper towels

Instructions
- Go to projects section at www.pentelarts.com and print out "Art Deco Lantern" design.
- Place 8 1/2" x 11" piece of translucent printing paper over teh "Art Deco Lantern" print out. Use painter's tape to hold down while you trace. Trace over border lines with pencil. You will need to create two designs to wrap around vase.
- Moving slowly and using light pressure, use the Pocket Brush Pen for thin lines and medium pressure for thicker lines or to fill branches. Place another sheep of paper under your hand to help keep paper free from any oils. Let dry.
- Use Color Brush (pink or color of your choice) to fill in the flowers. Let dry. Carefully remove tape.
- Trim the design to remove excess paper.
- Use Wet Erase Marker (black) to paint all the Basswood Strips. Let dry. Cut the flat basswood strips into eight 5 7/8" pieces (these will be used for the corners), four 3 5/8" pieces and four 2 5/8" (these will be used for the top and bottom) and the square basswood strips into four 3 5/8" pieces and four 2 5/8" (these will be placed about 5/8" from the top).
- Use Tape 'n Glue adhesive runner around all edges on the back of design. Adhere it to the vase and press firmly in place. Trim away any excess from the top.
- Glue the corner strips together first and then glue them to the corner of the vase. Secondly, glue the top and bottom strips. Lastly, glue the first square Basswood strip 5/8" from the top, then glue the next piece about 1/4" from the first piece.
- Use the Wet Erase Marker to touch up the top of all corner strips.
- Place candle in vase and light.
