Pentel Arts Booth # 5007
Written by: Belinda Trummeter,
Marketing Supervisor, Art and Craft Division

We had a great show and a very good location this year at the Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) show. Which made for more people stopping by the Pentel Arts booth; our booth was also double the size it was last year.

Both Sunday and Monday were very busy days. We had customers and visitors in our booth for the majority of the time. The customers I spoke with were very excited to see that we were going to have the Aquash brush sold separately on a blister-pack card. The reaction to this product was excellent, and the comments were focused mainly on the brush tip and how easy the product was to hold and control.

In regards to the Tape'n Glue, the reaction was also very positive. I emphasized how much tape was in the container, along with the fact that the product container was made with 72% recycled material. (The price point was also a key factor.) The Sunburst 2-packs of the Gold & Silver were also well received. Customers liked the packaging very much, and also liked the way the product wrote without skipping.

In regards to the new Outline Marker colors, Orange and Red, the reception was very good. I personally am very excited about rounding-out our color spectrum, and can't wait to present the entire array of colors at the Summer CHA show in July.

I showed the "Mini Color Brush" to one of our customers, and she seemed very interested in this product and asked when it would be available. There were a couple of other customers I showed this item to who also thought this product was very nice and wanted to know the availability. Stay tuned. We will keep you posted right here on PentelArts.com and Pentel.com, about the latest product updates and happenings.

The Gold & Silver Paint markers I showed to customers appeared to be successful as well. The comments made on this product were that our "gold" was more of a true gold than anything out in the market. I think this item will make an excellent single and 2-pack combo for the craft and hobby stores.

Lastly, the artist we hired to do the "Make'n Take" worked out very well. We showcased the Fabric Fun along with the Fabric Gel Roller. We had customers create mini tote bags, baby bibs, and baby t-shirts. This was a definite bonus for us! We constantly had people at the table using Pentel Arts products to make these different items. The other products that were used were the Aquash Water Color Set, Color Brush, Metallic Brush, Color Pens, Sign Pens, and the GraphGear Pencils. All of these items were explained in great detail to the customers that were using them, and created such a positive buzz throughout the booth.

All in all I feel that this show was a great success to the awareness of the Pentel Arts brand and the quality of our products. Thank you to everyone who attended and to all the hard work the Pentel Arts Sales and Marketing staff exhibited throughout the show.
